Thank you for your interest in becoming involved with the work of Scriptorium Poetry and Words.
Our focus is serving our Sacramento community through poetry workshops:
- That serve people who who have been impacted by abuse or trauma, as a way to promote voice, identity, and restoration
- That explore fresh, innovative, creative explorations of poetry writing through a variety of backgrounds, studies, disciplines, and approaches, for anybody who enjoys the art. You don’t have to be a poet or teaching artist to host a workshop. You are welcome to use your field of expertise to lead a discussion on how that area intersects with poetry and can initiate or empower writing.
Our mission is to promote self-confidence through poetry. Your workshop should keep this mission at heart.
If you’re interested in hosting a workshop, we’d like to hear from you! We currently hold all of our events on Saturday afternoons at Robbie Waters Library, Belle Cooledge Library, or Ella McClatchy Library.
Please complete our form below, and we will get in touch with you. Thank you for your interest in this work.
